WARNING — When using a chassis-mounted trailer hitch rack to transport kayaks, the combined overall length of your vehicle and trailer must not exceed 50 ft. Additionally, the trailer’s maximum allowable length is limited to 25 ft. at all times.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE LIMITATIONS may lead to vehicle damage, loss of cargo, or serious personal injury. The operator assumes full responsibility for ensuring proper use, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and adherence to all manufacturer-specified safety requirements.

I
MPORTANT NOTICE —
If your SUV or RV has a solid metal edge along the top of the tailgate where it meets the roof sheet metal, straps hook G may be anchored to that edge as shown in the illustration. Make sure the hooks are fully seated and the straps are hooked over a stable metal surface — never on glass, fragile trim, or plastic — and tighten the straps to spec. Proper use of the G-straps helps stabilize your kayak and rack, especially when driving in strong crosswinds that can cause side-to-side sway.(see illustration-1).

If your tailgate does not provide a suitable anchoring point, you may also attach hook G to an open-style roof side rail, as long as the rail is securely mounted to the vehicle and provides a strong, non-flexing metal structure for the strap to loop around (see illustration-2).

Before every trip, take a moment to double-check that both G-straps are routed correctly, tightened, and free of slack. Skipping this step could lead to load movement, equipment damage, or cargo loss while driving. As always, it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure all components are safely and securely set up. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage or personal injury.
