At Couture Co. we take safety seriously and the safety of our Hyperax bicycle carriers is our top priority. Couture is currently investigating reports that the latch mechanism on four models of its Hyperax bike carriers (2023 Volt RV, Volt RV LITE, 2024 Volt 2, and 2024 Volt 2 LHB) may show accelerated wear when exposed to continuous, severe vibration that could occur on rough or unpaved road conditions. These reports suggest that accelerated wear can cause the latch to lose its clamping force resulting in detachment of the bike during transit. For this reason, Couture strongly recommends that you stop using the bike carrier until wecomplete our investigation.
We are working closely with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to ensure the safety of our customers and determine the best possible course of action. Further details regarding the remedy will be provided shortly.
